Our History
Carol
E. McCallister as a woman-owned minority small business, founded
Champion Business Services, Inc. (CBS) in 1986. Originally
named Champion Typing Academy, the company has evolved with changing
technology and business requirements, to meet the staffing needs of the
marketplace.
At its inception, the mission of CBS was to improve the skills of the
government and corporate workforce through highly effective training
methodology. To date, CBS has trained over 7,000 individuals, affected
the productivity of countless companies and provided skilled labor
throughout the United States.
CBS presents unique qualities to the professional services industry
by offering training, placement and hiring services to its graduates.
Our service niche has been widely accepted by Federal, State and Local
governments, as well as, private corporations and CBS graduates.
CBS accomplishments were formally recognized in 1997 by the National
Review Committee. CBS's President was invited by Vice President Al
Gore, to participate in the Welfare to Work Reform Program and present
Champion's successful training programs to the Federal Executive Board.
Since 1986 CBS has a reputation of placing skilled workers in key
positions and delivering quality management and services to its
extensive client base. Over the years, CBS has evolved from a training
